Roderick Crump

Roderick Crump is the Chief Executive Officer of Chefao Foundation, a 501c3 organization based in Houston, Texas that serves as a hub of support within the local community by providing a diverse range of services and programs when and where needed. 

 

Roderick has always had a passion for giving back and helping others.  Born and raised in Houston, Texas, he is a product of North Forest ISD graduating from M.B. Smiley High School where he played football and was a member of Future Business Leaders of America.  Roderick went on to propel his career with some of ‘Fortune’s Top 100 Companies to Work For’ with a focus on tax (global mobility) and consulting (workforce transformation). 

 

For the past couple decades, Roderick has volunteered in numerous local events and partnered with community based non-profits.  Because of his past experiences in the community, Roderick saw the need and had the desire to put his own stamp within the Houston community and started Chefao Foundation.  While working in corporate America, Roderick has always been active with company diversity groups, serving as a bridge and ally amongst the different communities, as well as pushing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and strategies to help combat discrimination, drive cultural change and open doors.

 

Roderick earned a bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Houston-Downtown and a master’s degree in International Studies from the University of St. Thomas.  Roderick has traveled extensively internationally and has lived abroad.  He speaks Portuguese and some Spanish.  In his spare time he enjoys travel, trying new foods, music and arts.
